The success that Ansell Construction enjoyed during development of the Kelowna International Airport's ‘Apron 1‘ Project was entirely founded on instating an effective communications plan that afforded ACL minimal interference with normal airport operations.
The work at this site was challenging; Airside escorts were required daily in mobilizing equipment and crews within the apron work area and ACL had to amend our Safety Plan to account for various Airside hazards such as jet blast occurrence.
The $2.4-million contract added 381 new parking stalls to the long-term parking lot that will result in a total of 2,202 public parking stalls at the airport.
ACL worked effectively in ensuring the operational directives of NAV Canada and the Airport Manager were met with without compromising efficiency or quality
In 2006 Ansell Construction was selected to be the General Civil Contractor to construct a major Parking Lot improvement package at the Kelowna International Airport. Ansell Construction worked closely with EBA Engineering Consultants and with Kelowna's Airport Project staff in successfully delivering this technically challenging improvement to our parking facilities.
Our Airport Project staff was exceedingly pleased with the proficient, reliable and cordial approach in which Ansell Construction performed the work.
They exceeded our expectations to ensure the quality requirements of the work, and delivered this project within the schedule and at a reasonable price. Good luck to you Tim, and your team, in your future business endeavours.
